A Community Christmas Annual Reports

Since 1959, A Community Christmas (ACC), a local non-profit organization, has been supplying Christmas aid to needy Stark County children, families, disabled adults and senior citizens with food vouchers, gift cards, toys/gifts, books, clothing and household items.

832 VOLUNTEERS WORKED 6,050 HOURS to run a successful 2025 ACC program. Twenty-two volunteers worked 900 hours processing applications, 100 volunteers spent 2,000 hours serving 432 Giving Center families, 350 volunteers and sponsors worked over 2,500 hours serving the 272 Adopt-A-Families, and 360 volunteers and donors spent 650 hours donating and delivering Mitten Tree items — with five local eateries generously helping feed ACC volunteers at the Giving Center and Adopt-A-Family distribution locations.

$53,917.54 IN FOOD VOUCHERS, GIFT CARDS AND TAXABLE ITEMS was spent on Stark County families, children, senior citizens and disabled adults to ensure everyone who applied had a merrier Christmas.

11,918 ITEMS COLLECTED were distributed through the ACC Giving Center and to the community, including 1,400 hats and gloves, plus 10,518 mostly taxable grocery items not covered by food stamps (paper towels, bar soap, toilet paper, etc.). Mitten Tree items collected were distributed to many Stark County schools and agencies.

4,720 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE — 3,320 children, adults, seniors and disabled adults were given aid (food vouchers, gift cards, toys/gifts, clothing, toiletries, household items) through ACC’s Giving Center and Adopt-A-Family programs, and 1,400 children and adults received hats or gloves through the Mitten Tree program.

26,543+ TOYS & GIFTS WERE DISTRIBUTED. Adopt-A-Families received 6,250 gifts and gift cards. Giving Center families received 7,340 Marine Toys for Tots toys, books, stocking stuffers, stuffed animals and bikes/scooters, 1,908 gift cards and food vouchers, and 10,518 toiletry, household and clothing items. Seniors and disabled adults received 527 food vouchers.

$77,658.85 IN DONATIONS — $24,550 from 9 foundations and grants, $48,164 from individual, church and business donors, and $4,944.85 from ACC fundraising — ensured that every family and individual submitting a qualified application received ACC assistance for Christmas.
